Praise God for another great day in the RNICU! Laurie will be be one week old in 2 hrs. and is doing great on the C-Pap. The doctors have increased her feeds to 6cc today and are watching her belly closely to make sure she is able to handle the increase. She weighs 1 lb. 3oz. today. She also continues to have wet and "poopy" diapers!! The most exciting news is that I got to hold her for the 1st time today! It takes a little time to get Laurie and all her wires out of the isolette (made her Daddy very nervous) but it was worth it!!! Laurie seemed to handle it very well too! They will do another ultrasound of her head this weekend since she is now 7 days old and another on day 30. Please pray that the 2nd ultrasound will be normal, just as it was earlier. Thanks for your continued prayers and support!

Thank God for all the great news today. I know it had to be very exciting to hold laurie for the first time. We continue to pray daily for all of you as laurie continues to grow and improve. Praying for another good day tommorow. Praying for you daily, Spring, Jason, Bobby and Abigail
How exciting for you! I guess we never think it will take a whole week before the first time we get to hold our baby!! God is definitely helping sweet Laurie fight hard!!

There is no kind of love like the love a parent has for their child. I know the Lord is in control of Laurie and that we will continue to see progress every day. I will continue to keep the Killingsworth / Crowe family in my prayers and to thank God for all improvements with Laurie. Cole,congrats on the loss of your first tooth.

First of all, congrats on your beautiful baby girl. We have been out of town all week so we're just hearing about your precious bundle. You all have been in our prayers and we will continue to pray as Laurie grows each day. My cousin was a premie, one pounder, too. He's now in college and doing well. I'm excited to see what God can do with a family that puts Him first.

Seeing the pictures of you holding Laurie for the first time brought back all of the emotion from when we were at UAB and I held Olivia for the first time when she was 5 days old.
