September 22, 2008 3:00 p.m.

Good afternoon! Laurie, Todd, and I had a very restful weekend together! Laurie is trying to grow up today! The doctors have decided to try weaning her to an open crib! She will have to go 12 hours holding her own temperature inside the isolette and then they move her to the crib. She will have to go into the crib with a nasal canula because she is still requiring a little oxygen (22%). Hopefully, she will be able to come off the canula soon (again)! This weekend she has been taking every other feed with a bottle, so today we are trying to give her all bottles! So far she has tolerated it well without having to put any through her feeding tube. Last night Laurie weighed 4 lbs. 9 oz.! She is definitely moving right along! Thanks to all of you who continue to track Laurie's daily progress! We are blessed with great friends and family! Please continue to pray for Laurie's breathing and eye development.

Love to all!
Todd, Leah, Cole, and Laurie

We have been in prayer constantly since last week for Laurie's eyes. We know that God is good and just one look at Laurie shows us evidence that He continues to answers our prayers. We are just praying that it is God's will that Laurie's eyes will improve since she was given that treatment last week.
Her weight is really on the move and we know that she will think that she is a big girl when she gets to be in an open crib. Maybe it won't be long before we see a picture of her in a big girl crib!!
So glad that Laurie and her mom and dad had a restful weekend. Our prayers are with you, as always,
Love,
the Kings
